Tanning Bed Bulbs
Today’s tanning bed bulbs are manufactured to the highest specifications and, thanks to government regulation, are also very safe. With the wide variety of bulbs available, you can get any kind of tan you want in a stand up tanning bed. There are bronzing bulbs, deep tanning lamps, and face lamps just to mention a few.
The majority of tanning bed lamps are either high pressure or low pressure bulbs. High pressure tanning bulbs operate with 250 to 2,000 watt ballasts and range in length from three to five inches. However, 400 watts is typically the most popular and are frequently part the face tanning component of traditional lay-down beds. All tanning bed bulbs should be replaced after about 1,000 hours even though they will shine many times longer. Stand up tanning beds can sometimes go longer with out having the bulbs replaced, but it is good to have a regular maintenance schedule to maximize the time in the bed.
